Transformation of Developmental Services

The Ontario Ministry of Community and Social Services (MCSS)
and its community partners are currently engaged in a
"transformation process".
Four provincial organizations that represent individuals with
disabilities and their families collaborated to produce a 2 part
newsletter/document called "COMMON VISION FOR REAL
TRANSFORMATION" .

- This document describes what is required for meaningful
transformation: Family Alliance Ontario, People First Ontario,
Special Services at Home Provincial Coalition, and Individualized
Funding Coalition for Ontario are the members of the Common Vision
Group.

- Families and people with disabilities were involved in the
consultation process. The government, MCSS Developmental Services
Branch has written a Consultation paper titled "Opportunities
and Action". It can be accessed in various versions [ full
